Darlington Borough Council have a
highly co-ordinated approach to all
crime, drugs misuse, youth offending
and other social problem solving
activities within the Borough. This
was instrumental in Darlington being
awarded Beacon Status for 2004 for
its approach to crime and disorder
reduction.
Many young people from the Borough have been
involved in DAAC schemes (eg Get Hooked on
Fishing, Get Gripped on Climbing, Look at Life,
Shrievalty awards, Wise Drive) with the support
and encouragement of the Thematic Partnership.
DAAC Executive Manager Bob Glass is a
member of the partnership steering group and is
always available to members of the group for
advice and assistance.
