Leisure

The town boasts the largest yacht harbour on the Costa Blanca coast, with others including Cabo Roig and Campoamor close by. The internationally recognised golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas are all within a ten-minute drive of each other and offer the opportunity to play golf all year round in one of the world's most healthy environments and with first class facilities.

There are numerous glorious blue flag beaches in Torrevieja and the surrounding areas where you can practice fishing, sailing, surfing, water skiing or just swimming in the crystal clear waters.

Equestrian Centres are in abundance. As an example, the centre at Campoamor offers indoor spectator facilities and a restaurant and play areas for children. Although only five minutes from the beach, it has easy access to unspoilt open countryside.

In the beautiful seaside Roman town of Cartagena, outstanding museums and examples of religious architecture are in abundance, for example the Archeological Museum and the church of Santa Maria de Gracia, where the beautiful carving of the Virgin del Rosell (14th century) is to be found. Orihuela is a town of ancient lineage and amongst its many churches (many of them declared as National monuments), the most striking is the Cathedral.

For those who are interested in winter sports, the wonderful skiing resort of Granada is approximately a three-hour drive from Torrevieja.

Enjoy the pleasant lifestyle on offer, this thriving all year round town and area is the perfect place to live.
