How much do inspection trips cost?
You only pay for the cost of the flights. Transport, quality accommodation, food and drinks are paid for by us. You can book your own flights or we can book them for you.
How does the visit work?
We guarantee that your trip will be on a one-to-one basis. This means that each client will have the undivided attention of one of our friendly and knowledgeable consultants, who will also chauffeur you around the area. You will not be part of a large coach group, wasting time seeing areas and properties that are of no interest to you. This means your entire trip is tailored to suit your requirements, not someone else's. During your stay you will be shown all the properties of interest to you. Your own personal sales consultant will also show you all the areas and amenities available in each area, and anything else that we think may be of interest to you.
Where do we stay and eat whilst on a visit?
As guests of Gus Robinson you will stay in a delightful aparthotel complex, located only a 2 minute walk from Villamartin square, on a bed and breakfast basis. During your trip you will be taken to a variety of local restaurants. Whilst in the company of our representative, all your food and beverages will be included.
What is the itinerary?
This varies as each trip is truly individual. The itinerary is flexible to suit your requirements. Generally speaking, we would pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation. In the mornings we start at 10 on our inspection of the area and properties. At 2 we break for lunch at a local restaurant. Further inspection of properties will commence at around 4 when siesta ends. Evenings are left open. We find that most people like to have evenings to themselves to discuss what they have seen during the day, and also to enjoy themselves. (You are in Spain after all!) However, our staff are always on call should you wish to discuss anything, or have them with you.
Usually, our clients find their dream home on the second or third day of a trip (although it has been known to happen on the first!) so the final day will be spent making reservations and discussing contracts. We will then take you to the airport, and arrange the rest for you.
Do I have to go for 3 nights and 4 days?
No. We have flexible arrangements to suit your personal circumstances, as flights leave everyday from several UK airports. Our inspection trips are usually for 3 nights and 4 days, but can be condensed provided it is understood that a shorter trip may be quite tiring. It is not ideal to plan a trip over a weekend as most offices open only half day Saturday and close on Sunday.
Will we have enough time to see all of the properties and areas?
It is just as important for us as it is you, that you are shown everything to enable you to make an informed decision. You will have your very own personal consultant and car to chauffeur you to all the properties, and are therefore in complete control of your itinerary. If you see a particular property you like, just ask to stop and see the local facilities and attractions. if you don't like a particular area or property, simply say so and we'll carry on driving to the next. If you want to go back and look at a property again, just ask.
What finances do I need in place to be able to buy a "New Build" property?
Prior to departing for a viewing trip, please ensure that you have arrangements in place to pay 50% of the purchase price. This being the sum of money required by most Builders/Developers within 30 days of your visit to Spain.
When you have paid your 3,000 Euro deposit, the property of your choice will be removed from the market and the price fixed to safeguard against any price increases. At this stage the Builder/Developer will require you to provide confirmation of your funding arrangements.
What finances do I need in place to be able to buy a "Re-Sale" Property?
Prior to departing for a viewing trip, please ensure that you have arrangements in place to fund 100% of the purchase price of any re-sale property. This being the sum of money required by the property owner within 30 days of your visit to Spain. When you have paid your deposit the property owner is then excluded from accepting any other offers. Resale completion dates are usually 30 days after any agreement to purchase, though in practice can be brought forward if suitable to both parties.
We're not in a position to purchase, but we still want to visit the area. What are the alternatives?
We would suggest you book a holiday flying into Alicante or Murcia, and book yourself a hire car as well. This will give you complete freedom of movement, allowing you to visit cities, towns and villages, whilst talking to people and seeing if you like the area. Once you have decided which area is for you and subsequently are in a position to purchase we would be delighted to host you on one of our individual trips.
